Art and Design.
Ute has started painting when she was a young girl. Her aunt Maria was a famous painter in Zurich, Switzerland. Ute spent lots of time watching her aunt mixing colors and painting different technics.
Ute, her husband and two children have traveled the World throughout the previous 25 years. Wherever she lived she attended art classes and workshops. Much of her art focuses on colorful impressions and modern interpretation of idyllic landscapes.
Ute settled permanently in beautiful St. Simons Island in 2015. Ute's paintings incorporate both - color and texture.
The ever-changing World of Mixed Media is the key to Ute's work now. She mostly works on canvas that combines acrylic paint, watercolor, ink, sand, cement and collage layers! Ute is fascinated by bright colors and their interactions with textural scenes and concepts.
She is a member of Glynn Visual Arts / Saint Simons Island,
Golden Isles Art & Humanities Association in Brunswick,
and Jekyll Island Arts Association.
